Edward A. Nagy, senior community coach, C license
Edward Nagy played soccer in Toronto in many amateur and semi-pro leagues. In 1976, 77 & 78 he played and managed a high level amateur team in North York, he also played for Toronto Ferencvaros, winning a championship in 1979, in a Toronto semi pro league. Edward joined Armour Heights S.C. in 2001 and he started the development of the competitive program by coaching one boy’s rep team to start. By 2005, he had introduced 4 more boy’s rep teams. He is also president of the club for the last 9 years.

He was head coach for 15 years for the 1989 Boy’s/ Men’s team

In 2009, he helped a player from the 1989 age group to get a try out with the Chicago Fire MLS soccer team, he made the top thirty out of 300 players and in 2010, the same player made it through
several cuts in his MLS try out with the Philadelphia Union, making it to the top 20 out of 1500 players.
This player got a trial with Hannover reserve U23 team in Germany, 2011 he was chosen by the club
2013 three players went for USLPRO trials with Pittsburgh
2013 former player with U21 men’s team got a professional contract in Cyprus

2016 player Michael Borowski got his first pro contract in 4th division Slovakia

Mark White, senior community coach, C licensed
Head Coach for Armour Heights Under 17 boy’s rep team.
Mark White is a 29 year veteran of the game and a product of Humber College in Toronto and Capilano College in Vancouver. At just 16, he was playing on the Toronto Shooting Stars reserve squad along side Diego Maradona’s brother. Mark White, signed and played on professional teams in the newly formed Canadian Professional Soccer League in 1998, 1999 and 2002 (now the CSL). In 1998 he had stints with Halifax Town F.C and Sheffield United F.C. in England. Later he trained with Kecskemet F.C. and Ferencvaros F.C. of the Hungarian 1st and premier divisions. Within 2 years at Humber College he amassed 5 gold medals, including 4 Provincial Titles (OCAA) and 1 National Title (CCAA). Officials at the 2002 Nationals awarded him the Fairplay trophy (CCAA). Humber College awarded him the Academic/Excellence honour in 2002.
As a Coach now, he believes in a strong worth ethic and perseverance on and off the field. His first year as Head Coach of the Armour Heights Knights Under 15 boys team, the team were Runners’ Up in the L4 Premier division of the CSL, losing 1st place on a plus/minus difference. Record: 15 wins, 4 ties, 5 losses
in League, League Cup and Ontario Cup play. The U15 boy’s team reached the Ontario Cup semi-finals in 2010.
In 2011, the U16 boy’s won the DPYSL and the playoffs indoor.
2011, CSL U16 L3 runner’s up with best defensive record and winners’ of the Gates Youth Soccer Tournament U17 played one year up, in Rochester, NY.
